History
In the fall of 2010, the 1st cohort of CSU east bay post-bacc students came up with an idea to start a free clinic. From a handful of students it became a coalition of over 40 volunteers and 20 health professionals. From providing the very basic screenings, the clinic now provides injections, dental services, optometry services, health education and unlimited referrals. Every since 2010, we had multiple health fair and outreach events partnering with various organizations across the Bay Area.
Other services includes data collection and prospective and retrospective clinical research to determine the maladies within the clinic demographics as well.
Kathy Ahoy, Alameda County Public Health Nurse, and Sivan Sadeh , Social Worker, with the assistance of the other staff members at Hayward Day Labor Center help fostered the growth of the students to achieve this milestone in Hayward, CA. We are constantly growing and we are confident we will become a huge asset to the Bay Area and beyond in years to come. As we are growing we will never forget our mission statement to:
"To provide services to the Hayward community through Health education, advocacy, access, and resources to improve health standards of each individual."
